Senior Procurement Specialist

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a government department to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist for a 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, ensuring an efficient and effective work environment that facilitates quality services and delivers value for money outcomes.
  • Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
  • Administer complex contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Government Contract Management Framework.
  • Provide specialist procurement/contract and commercial advice relating to procurement matters.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, develop and implement systems and processes to enable enhanced forecasting and management of workload for the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contract management practices and contemporary acquisition practices, including their relationship with relevant government policies and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff to represent procurement services and ensure responsiveness to current and future needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
