Job Title: Estimator

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Next Day Recruitment. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, quotes, and purchase orders for large material handling projects. You will work closely with our clients, sales professionals, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Respond to quotes and order enquiries, communicating openly and honestly with clients
* Review scopes of work, new and existing projects, specifications, and contracts for large material handling projects
* Prepare mechanical and structural steel estimates, quotes, and POs in detail for projects/jobs
* Oversee design checklists and conduct quality audits
* Liaise with BDM Sales professionals, Engineers, PMs, as well as consulting with sub-contractors and suppliers
* Order materials from suppliers
* Site measurement and sketching of detailed drawings that can then be passed to the drawing office

**Requirements:**

* Time served or TAFE qualification with 5 years experience
* Strong understanding of Mechanical and Structural Engineering and fabrication estimating
* A people person, a good communicator, and someone who enjoys liaising with internal and external teams

**What We Offer:**

* Competitive remuneration packages, varying with regards to experience, $80,000 to $95,000 + Super
