About the Job

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our team in Day and Afternoon shift operations.

Your role will involve working 12-hour shifts (8 hours if required) at our state-of-the-art rHDPE/PP recycling facility.

You will receive comprehensive training in areas such as quality and WHSE and be accountable for following work instructions in each area.

Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring compliance with WHSE procedures and directions, striving for Goal Zero.
  2. Participating in BOP's, Risk Assessments, and Incident Reporting to maintain a safe working environment.
  3. Supplying necessary licenses and permits to supervisors when necessary.
  4. Contributing to product quality by inspecting and testing materials according to Operator Instruction sheets.
  5. Reporting WHSE, Quality, Maintenance, or People issues to supervisors or technicians promptly.
  6. Collaborating to produce high-quality products efficiently and effectively.
  7. Maintaining a clean workstation throughout shifts, with a final clean-up at the end of each shift.
Your Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  1. Previous experience working in 24/5 and potentially 24/7 operations.
  2. Background knowledge in extrusion, blow/injection moulding, or thermoforming within plastics manufacturing.
  3. Mechanical aptitude.
  4. The ability to adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper operation.
  5. Ability to learn new processes quickly and troubleshoot issues while maintaining quality standards.
  6. The capacity to work safely, effectively, and productively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. A positive attitude and teamwork skills.
  8. Excellent communication skills.
