Electrical Engineering Assistant - Maintenance Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Assistant to join our Maintenance team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of electrical systems and real project ownership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with electrical inspections and condition monitoring.
  • Supporting root cause analysis of electrical faults and failures.
  • Updating maintenance strategies and electrical system documentation.
  • Participating in shutdown planning and execution.
  • Collecting and analysing electrical system performance data.
  • Collaborating with trades and engineering teams on improvement initiatives.
  • Preparing technical documentation and electrical reports.

This is a 12-week residential program that offers comprehensive benefits, including flights or reimbursement of travel expenses, residential housing, and transport to site arranged. You will have the opportunity to work independently, meet personal and team goals, and develop strong relationships with peers and leaders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current enrolment in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
  • Ability to uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders.
  • A valid manual driver's license.
  • Willingness to live and work remotely.
