About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geology Specialist to join our team. As a Geology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining and updating mine's grade control block models and 3D modelling databases.


The primary focus of this position is to transform ore resources into ore reserves and prepare reserve grade control models as primary inputs to the optimisation and design processes which provides the basis for the 36 month mine plan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Producing near-mine and grade control drill plans to support the development of ore resources and reserves enabling medium term mining plans to be formulated and bauxite production objectives to be achieved
  • Producing and maintaining 3D geological block models allowing ore bodies to be defined in compliance with industry best practice standards which provides the basis for the 36 month mine plan.
  • Assisting in the determination and optimization for the extraction of mineral reserves and providing engineering support as it relates to the estimation of mineral resources, reserves and optimizing extraction of mineral resources.
  • Working closely with all stakeholders including the Short-Term Planning and Long-Term Planning Technical teams, such as site-based technical teams, members of the exploration team and wider Global Planning Group to ensure appropriate communication and collaboration links are maintained.
