As a Senior Data Engineer at Sigma Healthcare Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data engineering platform and products. Reporting to the Digital Manager – Data Engineering, you will oversee the implementation of the endorsed architecture and champion the modelling, design, development, and implementation of efficient and cost-effective data engineering solutions running on the cloud environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on data modelling and engineering pipelines development with a combination of acquiring, preparing, and transforming against various volumes of batch datasets
  • Assist in identifying and exposing technical debt and related issues for resolution
  • Working closely with Tech Leads to implement high-quality data engineering solutions
  • Troubleshooting production issues and coordinating bug fixes
  • Quality check and peer review of data models, engineering pipelines, and implement remediation activities

Requirements include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information technology, data, analytics, computing, or other related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting data engineering solutions, ideally with experience across Microsoft Azure and Snowflake
  • Demonstrated ability in simple to complex Snowflake SQL coding
  • Experience in one or more of the programming or scripting languages - Python, Scala, GoLang, JavaScript
  • Experience in working with both structured and semi-structured datasets like JSON, XML
