Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dedicated interim care unit providing high-quality patient care and support. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

About the Role
  • Assist patients with meals, fluids, and personal care needs.
  • Promote optimal independence and mobility among residents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restocking supplies and reporting stock deficits.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with meal service, including serving food, collecting used trays, and taking meal orders.
  2. Promote and encourage optimal independence and mobility among residents.
  3. Restock supplies and identify/report stock deficits.
  4. Clean and maintain a safe and clean working area, including spills, body fluids, equipment, and disposal of soiled linen and wastes.
  5. Maintain effective interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the healthcare team and customers.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in residential care or a health service would be well regarded.
  • Hold a Certificate III Aged Care (or equivalent) or be undertaking a pre-registration university program in a nursing qualification approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
