
Supportive Care Specialist

As a Supportive Care Specialist, you will be playing a key role in the delivery of frontline support services to children and families.
The RoleYou will provide supportive care to families within their home environment, utilising a professional practice model to develop routines, plan daily activities and schedules based on need, problem-solve, implement safety planning, utilise behaviour management strategies to assist families in de-escalating situations and provide intensive personal support through interpersonal and life skills ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the family.
The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in a Human Service related field, a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide supportive care to families within their home environment.
- Develop routines, plan daily activities and schedules based on need.
- Implement safety planning and utilise behaviour management strategies to assist families in de-escalating situations.
- Provide intensive personal support through interpersonal and life skills ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the family.
The successful applicant will require a Drivers Licence Class 'C' (Open), Child Safety and Personal History Check (LCS2) or ability to obtain, Current Blue Card, Current First Aid and CRP Certificate and a vehicle with full Comprehensive Car Insurance.
Frequent travel is required for this position so the successful applicant must be willing to travel up to an hour for shifts.
