Specialist Anaesthesia Career Opportunities

As a Specialist Anaesthetist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anaesthesia services to patients at our hospitals.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive anaesthesia services in elective, emergency, acute pain, and perioperative settings
- Leading quality improvement initiatives, training, and education for clinicians
- Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrating leadership skills
- Communicating effectively through technology, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Committing to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
Requirements include:
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist or specialist international medical graduate pathways
- Recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia
- Ability to provide comprehensive anaesthesia services within all hospitals of the network
- Skills in regional anaesthesia
- Leadership and communication skills
