Job Description
  • Lead the conceptual and detailed process design of major desalination and water treatment projects, ensuring alignment with sustainability, regulatory, and performance objectives.
  • Oversee advanced process modelling and simulation activities, including membrane system optimisation and integration of emerging technologies.
  • Provide high-level technical direction and review of engineering deliverables, procurement specifications, and design documentation.
  • Champion value engineering initiatives to enhance project efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and long-term operability.
  • Present complex design concepts and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the development and implementation of project documentation, including management plans, commissioning strategies, performance testing protocols, and O&M manuals.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain design integrity and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead technical negotiations and clarifications with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage resolution of critical project issues through strategic analysis and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Oversee vendor engagement, equipment selection, and procurement processes to ensure alignment with project specifications and operational goals.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in senior technical roles within water infrastructure, with a focus on process engineering and project leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale desalination or water treatment projects from design through commissioning.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
