Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Anduril Full time
About Anduril

Anduril Industries is a pioneering defense technology company with a mission to revolutionize military capabilities. By combining cutting-edge innovation and expertise, Anduril transforms the defense industry by delivering advanced technologies that make a real-world impact.

We're committed to driving strategic competition forward, bringing autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. Our team of experts in artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor fusion, optics, and data analysis works together to create software and hardware solutions that radically evolve defense capabilities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, including the development of unmanned maritime and air domain systems that leverage unsupervised autonomy.

The successful candidate will have broad experience in software engineering, working holistically on software-enabled capabilities up and down the software stack through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment. A key requirement is the ability to act as a technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert for areas of expertise related to software enabled capabilities, including hardware selection, compute, storage, network architecture, service orchestration, application logic, and other software concerns.
  • Empathize with end-users and drive solutions that balance their needs with external constraints, restrictions, and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Own software enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for delivery of value to the end-user.
  • Design and implement scalable software that rapidly delivers capability beyond current platforms, with a clear path for architecture and capability evolution over time.
  • Contribute to the design and development of existing software services across Anduril, developing components reusable across multiple product lines.
  • Develop software running on- and off- robotic platforms using various technologies.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Travel to co-locate with end-users up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise.
  • Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Capacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities up and down the software stack through lifecycle.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary range between $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, based on experience. Additionally, we provide generous benefits, including platinum healthcare coverage, basic life insurance, and a comprehensive relocation package.

Our compensation package includes a range of benefits to support your well-being and career growth, such as:

  • Platinum Healthcare Benefits: Top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Basic Life/AD&D Insurance: 100% covered by Anduril.
  • Relocation Assistance: Support with moving expenses and accommodations.
  • Professional Development Stipend: Funding for conferences, training, and education.

We're proud to offer a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. If you're passionate about making a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you
