Job Summary

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Ballina. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating and independence.
  • Offer social support and access to lifestyle activities, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Provide respite and emotional support, recognizing the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring they receive the care and support they need.
  • Deliver complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, with empathy and understanding.

Requirements

  • You must be passionate about assisting our aged community and have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License.
  • You will need a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential part of this role.
  • You should be able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers.
  • You must be available to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts.
  • You will need to be comfortable working independently, finding solutions to everyday problems, and knowing when to seek support from your Manager.
