About the Role

The Australian Government is seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team at Joint Logistics Unit (North). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of logistics support to Australian Defence Force elements operating across the Northern Territory and Kimberley region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety and risk management plans, and job safety analysis to develop/improve safe working procedures.
  • Perform WHS incident management and investigation, working collaboratively with contractors and external stakeholders to ensure WHS incidents are reported, investigated, and remediated.
  • Represent JLU(N) at WHS, facilities, and equipment management meetings, working groups, and forums.

Joint Logistics Unit (North) provides logistics support to Australian Defence Force elements operating across the Northern Territory and Kimberley region, as well as coalition forces engaged in activities in Northern Australia. Our logistics footprint consists of maintenance, warehousing, distribution, clothing, movements, and loan pool services.
