Wellbeing and Mental Health Support Specialist

Seeking a Student Wellbeing Guidance Officer to join our team of wellbeing professionals. As part of the department's commitment to expanding its wellbeing workforce under the Student Wellbeing Package initiative, this role will play a critical part in supporting students' mental health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Identification, support, and therapeutic intervention planning for students with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Providing advice and counselling on educational, behavioural, vocational, personal, social, family, and mental health issues for students with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Supporting promotion, prevention, awareness, and capability building regarding mental health and wellbeing within the school community and leadership teams.
- Collecting data relevant to the role, including collecting pre- and post-intervention data from students and their families regarding the student's mental health and the impact of this on their overall functioning.
- Current full registration as a teacher in Queensland.
- Teachers working in Education and Care Services require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
- One of the following: Completed coursework Masters majoring in guidance and counselling, General or provisional registration as a psychologist, or an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited four or five year qualification in psychology.
