About the Role...
As an Employment Navigator and Pre-Employment Support Specialist, you will work with our Transition to Work contract to provide intensive, pre-employment support to young people. Your role will be to improve their work-readiness and assist them into sustainable employment or education. You will conduct assessments to identify barriers to employment and provide direction and support to ensure their successful transition into appropriate and sustainable work.
You will place participants into employment by supporting them with job search activities, including interview coaching, resume preparation, and matching them to current vacancies. You will also engage with stakeholders and community organisations to refer participants and place them into employment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, from our Capalaba Office.
Key Responsibilities...
- Conduct assessments to identify barriers to employment and provide direction and support to participants
- Provide pre-employment support to improve work-readiness
- Support participants with job search activities, including interview coaching and resume preparation
- Match participants to current vacancies and engage with stakeholders and community organisations to refer participants
- Work autonomously with clients while being part of a team
