About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Property Team as a Senior Underwriter.
Your primary focus will be on developing innovative product solutions through customer-centric insights and implementing meticulous risk management strategies for various sizeable scheme businesses.
You will leverage your technical expertise to enhance value across the organization, involving projects to streamline underwriting processes and introduce greater clarity and simplicity where possible.
Establish strong relationships with key trading partners.
Utilize your portfolio management knowledge to drive insightful change across our scheme business.
Provide customer-centric insights, innovative product solutions, and meticulous risk management strategies.
Foster collaborative approaches that cater to the needs of our trading partners and policyholders.
Participate in forums across the property underwriting community to stay updated on trends, changes, best practices, and underwriting ethos.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects to add value across the organization.
About You
To succeed as a Senior Underwriter, you will be an insurance professional with proven property underwriting experience at a senior level. You will also have:
Demonstrated maturity to manage outcomes of complex risks and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
The ability to plan and handle peak periods smoothly and efficiently.
A keen interest in analytics and policy wording critique.
The ability to collaborate effectively within a national team located across multiple locations.
A desire to mentor and guide less experienced underwriters to develop their skills and expertise.
An interest in learning new skills, which may lead to a product management path in the future.
