Network Planning Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Planning Leader to drive innovation, strategy, and delivery of economic and efficient solutions for our distribution network.

This role involves developing and refining planning processes, techniques, and systems for effective management of network assets.

As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality network studies, constraint analysis, option evaluations, long-term plans, and strategic and technical input to stakeholders and business leaders.

  • Develop comprehensive strategic plans to assess network capabilities, identify areas of limitation, and develop solution plans.
  • Lead the planning process for network augmentation to maintain bushfire safety compliance with REFCL technology.
  • Contribute to Distribution Loss Factors, fault level forecasts, and development plans for HV and LV networks, as well as demand and energy forecasts.
  • Manage the delivery of non-network solutions required to reduce network demand and generation, thereby deferring network investment.
  • Serve as a technical expert in Network Planning matters and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications and extensive experience in contemporary electricity network planning and asset management practices.
  • Expert proficiency in using electricity network analysis tools or relevant software, with the ability to interpret results.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception to implementation, with a focus on achieving program objectives.
  • Detailed knowledge of National Electricity Rules, energy markets, and relevant laws, regulations, rules, licenses, and agreements.
