About This Role

As a Software Engineer, you'll own design, development, and optimization of business-critical applications within Core Services problem spaces that powers XCover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to technical strategy by designing robust software solutions for the Core Services business domain.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features and components on XCover, ensuring they meet business requirements, performance standards, and security compliance.
  • Champion technical excellence by implementing engineering best practices, quality standards, and architectural principles within the team.

You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers and engineers to translate product vision into technical solutions and deliver high-impact features. Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies to enhance application performance and developer productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building large-scale web applications.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, APIs, and database optimisation techniques with practical experience implementing high-performance distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), managing workloads in Kubernetes, and messaging systems.
