Electrical Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Specialist to join our production and commissioning team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-minded, and passionate about delivering high-quality technical work.

This role offers variety and the satisfaction of seeing projects through from build to installation. You will be regularly working away from home to install and commission equipment at customer sites across the country.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement electrical control systems for industrial automation applications
  • Install, connect, and test motors, VSDs, sensors, PLCs, and related equipment
  • Commission and troubleshoot on-site (interstate travel required)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with mechanical and controls teams to deliver complete solutions
  • Support the service team with troubleshooting or upgrades
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensed QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic
  • Strong background in industrial, automation, or machinery environments
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and wiring control panels
  • Confident in fault-finding and hands-on troubleshooting
  • Willing and able to travel regularly (up to several days at a time)
  • Professional and reliable, with a strong attention to detail
