Job Summary:

The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care is seeking an experienced Grants Policy Officer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Governance and Assurance Section, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and maintenance of our grant policies, processes, and templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain grant policies, procedures, and templates to ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify information gaps and design resources to support grant administration.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our Grant Toolkit, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide coordination, scheduling, and governance services for our involvement in Department of Finance fora, including grant communities of practice and working groups.
  • Represent the Department at the Department of Finance governance forum as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative tools and resources to enhance grant administration.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in grant policy, administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
