Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team. This role will be involved in assisting in the development and implementation of environmental policies, plans, and projects that promote effective environmental management.

  • This involves working closely with our Environmental Planning Team in reviewing biodiversity assessments for development proposals.
  • The specialist will also support the Environmental Operations Team in delivering environmental restoration and rehabilitation works, biosecurity inspections, and contractor management.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting in the review of environmental impact assessments and developing strategies to mitigate any negative impacts.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to other teams on environmental matters.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a demonstrated commitment to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as environmental science, sustainability or a related discipline. You must also have access to reliable transportation for attendance at work and external training providers. Ability to work in a team environment is also essential.
