Role Overview
As a Habit Coach, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals of all ages in achieving greater independence in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to participants in various community settings.
  • Facilitating sessions at participants' homes or local venues, requiring travel to and from appointments.
  • Collaborating with primary therapists to implement personalized therapy plans aimed at enhancing participants' skills and independence.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary duty will be to execute the therapy strategies developed by the lead therapist. Each session will be tailored to meet the unique goals of the participant. Examples of objectives you may assist with include:

  • Enhancing Independence: Guide a high school student in navigating public transport for their daily commute.
  • Encouraging Healthy Living: Assist an adult in grocery shopping and meal preparation to promote nutritious eating habits.
  • Fostering Social Skills: Support a young child in completing their after-school routine while engaging in social play.

Qualifications for Success
To excel as a Habit Coach, you should possess:

  • A minimum of two years of study in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy.

OR

  • A completed Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or a similar qualification, along with relevant experience in a comparable role.

Additional Requirements
Successful candidates will also demonstrate:

  • Availability to work consistently, particularly during peak hours.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Strong ability to follow directions and maintain focus on participant goals.
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy in interactions.
  • Professional demeanor and adherence to company protocols.
  • Self-motivation and reliability in a flexible work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
