Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reports and accounting concepts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in an internal assurance program. They will be responsible for reviewing brigade financial activity, conducting audits and providing guidance to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance with legislation and policies
  • Providing guidance and support to volunteers on financial management
  • Building strong partnerships with District and Regional staff
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of brigade financial strategies

About You:

  • A degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in finance or accounting discipline
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and accounting software packages
  • Demonstrated results orientation, including the ability to meet deadlines for the delivery of defined outputs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of personnel
  • A valid driver's licence
