Job Opportunity

This is a 12-18 month contract role on a large water pipeline project. As an HSE Site Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are implemented and fulfilled.

You will bring energy and experience to the team, as well as new ideas and innovation. You will have expertise in developing system compliance upon start-up, providing support to field staff, and sharing corporate and industry knowledge for ongoing improvement.

The successful candidate will be highly competent and committed, with strong organisational skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to coordinate with the Site Foreman and Project Management team to ensure all project undertakings are in line with the project HSE plans.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
  • Provide guidance and support to field staff on safety matters
  • Coordinate with the Site Foreman and Project Management team to ensure project undertakings align with the project HSE plans
  • Manage site works and subcontractor activities to ensure defect-free handover

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Health and Safety or higher
  • Construction or infrastructure background
  • Strong knowledge of construction legislation and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
