Remote Healthcare Professional Opportunity

The opportunity exists to work as a General Practitioner with Aboriginal communities in remote Western Australia, providing comprehensive primary health care services and contributing to closing the health gap.

This chance is unique to provide healthcare services to remote Indigenous communities and contribute to reducing disparities in health outcomes.

About the Role
  • Work on a FIFO basis (4 weeks on, 8 weeks off) in a modern unit in the Balgo Community
  • Deliver comprehensive primary health care services to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients and families
  • Support the wider communities through holistic care and emergency medicine services

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified General Practitioner with current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration. Previous experience working in remote areas is not essential but a strong communication skill and ability to work within pre-existing structures of governance are required.
