Field Service Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex scientific instrumentation used in research and industrial applications.

The role involves travel to clients across the East Coast of Australia. You will work independently and make sound decisions under pressure to ensure timely repairs and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure analytical instruments and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues remotely or in the field.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to prevent equipment failure and maintain optimal operation.
  • Keep customers informed on the status of ongoing service requests and escalate issues when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, customer service, or field service engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with precision mechanics and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%-60%) across the East Coast of Australia.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and work independently.
