Compliance Manager Position Overview

At Allianz Australia Services Pty Ltd, we're committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities. We're seeking a talented Compliance Manager to join our Personal Injury Division in Sydney, NSW.

This is a senior role that requires a high level of expertise in risk management, compliance, and internal audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, execution, and monitoring of our risk and compliance management framework and regulatory compliance agenda. They will also establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and increase awareness of regulatory and compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of our compliance framework, providing expert advice on regulatory matters and contributing to the development of processes in line with our Board-approved risk appetite and Allianz Risk Management Framework.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing communication and advice on compliance matters, and contribute to the strengthening of governance and the compliance framework.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote compliance awareness and support the implementation and monitoring of compliance plans.
  • Support the implementation and promotion of corporate compliance policies, and the development of business solutions for incoming regulatory changes.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Significant leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit roles in a complex, matrixed financial services organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessing risk and developing plans to mitigate risk, with a strong understanding of the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and inform solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences at all levels.
