Overview:

Drakes Supermarkets has an exciting career opportunity available for a Sales Department Manager to join their team. As a Sales Department Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store's service deli, ensuring smooth operation and high customer satisfaction.

This role offers a unique chance to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with the Service Deli Manager to manage and coach the team, complete production and action orders, generate rosters, and more.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to supervise a team, and have knowledge of fresh food retail.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coaching the sales team
  • Completing production and action orders
  • Generating rosters
  • Ensuring smooth operation of the department

You will work collaboratively with the Service Deli Manager and other team members to achieve business goals and objectives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Fresh food retail knowledge (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Understanding of ordering, cost control, and gross profit
  • Accurate team member rostering
  • Passion and enthusiasm with a hands-on approach
