Belbaker Bus Charter is a successful and fast-paced bus charter company based in Zillmere. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a pivotal Supervisory position within our high-intensity Maintenance Department.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to support the efficient day-to-day operations of our maintenance division. The role is initially casual with the potential to transition to full-time, based on performance and suitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled vehicle maintenance across the fleet

Ensure all job cards are accurately completed, finalised, and appropriately filed

Book vehicle Certificates of Inspection (COIs) as required and ensure all defects are rectified within required timeframes

Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance Department, providing guidance and support to team members

Process damage reports, insurance claims, and follow up on driver-reported defects in a timely manner

Monitor and assist with the ordering of parts and materials as required to maintain inventory and reduce downtime

Prepare detailed maintenance and operational reports for senior management

Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all maintenance activities and correspondence

Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments

Ensure the team is meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities

What We're Looking For:

Supervisory experience of small - mid sized teams

Strong administrative and organisational skills

Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience in vehicle maintenance and/or parts ordering is highly regarded but not essential

Previous exposure to the bus or transport industry will be advantageous

Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the company

A reliable, roadworthy vehicle and an unrestricted, current driver's licence

A valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or willingness to obtain one
