About This Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Environmental Health Officer. As a key member of the Public and Environmental Health team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance in the delivery of environmental health services.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of on-site sewage management systems to identify potential risks to public health and the environment.
  • Provide high-level advice and support to community sectors, engaging with customers and representatives in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare detailed reports and submissions, utilizing advanced communication skills, both oral and written.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an environmental health/science related field
  • Demonstrated experience in an environmental health-related role, with knowledge of modern systems of on-site sewage management
  • High-level communication skills, both oral and written
