Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our team in providing high-level clinical expertise and professional leadership within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service. This statewide role is focused on enhancing student outcomes, particularly for students with diverse communication needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of evidence-based speech language pathology services across schools and regions.
  • Support the development of complex practices to enhance learning outcomes for students with diverse communication needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and professionals to ensure equitable access to high-quality learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Participate in service planning at school and state levels.
  • Maintain currency of knowledge and skills relating to education-based speech language pathology services.
About the Role

The ideal candidate will have fluent Auslan skills and experience in conducting assessments and delivering therapy for students who use Auslan as their primary mode of communication. They will contribute specialist knowledge to support inclusive education practices.
