Area Chief Medical Imaging Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Chief Medical Imaging Technologist to lead our medical imaging teams in the Inner Brisbane North region.

  • This is a full-time position, reporting to the Regional Manager, working Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities

Plan and manage daily technologist workforce requirements and productivity in the clinic by ensuring appropriate staff rostering, annual leave planning, and managing sick and other leave as required.

Understand the financial and commercial aspects of the business and focus on managing costs to achieve or exceed targets.

Travel to clinics within the Inner Brisbane North area.

Manage, develop, and mentor technologist staff, providing clinical guidance in the clinic.

Ensure outstanding service delivery and supervise the day-to-day management of medical imaging departments.

Implement quality improvement initiatives and refine work practices to enhance clinical and financial outcomes.

Provide the highest level of patient care possible.

Perform routine and specialised medical imaging procedures to the highest professional standards as required.

Establish and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with key stakeholders.

Selection Criteria

Ability to manage, coach, and lead clinic staff.

Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality medical imaging examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel verbally and in writing.

Strong work ethic and commitment to our culture and values.
