Maintenance Foreman Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Foreman to join our operations in Africa. This key position is responsible for managing the maintenance function, ensuring that all sites adhere to relevant Acts and Regulations, and maintaining a safe and cost-effective work environment.

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans, focusing on risk management and project progress reporting.
  • Liaise with operations teams and internal departments throughout a project's lifecycle, providing coaching and development to site foremen and leading hands.
  • Assist with setting min/max levels across group sites and identify business improvement opportunities within the maintenance function.

This role requires a strong background in senior maintenance roles, preferably in high productivity mining or heavy industry contract environments. Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated time management, planning, and cost management skills.
  • The ability to influence and engage operational personnel, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills that translate to improvements across the maintenance function.

A Trade Certificate is essential, and Asset Management skills are highly desirable. Microsoft Project experience and a Mechanical Engineering Degree are also beneficial.
