About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Management Support Officer to join our team at Sustainable Timber Tasmania. As a key member of our fire management team, you will provide essential administrative and logistical support for all fire management activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of fire incidents, personnel, and compliance.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of fire management policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: Handle financial transactions, purchase orders, and invoicing.
  • Contract Management: Develop and manage contracts related to fire management.
  • Logistics and Planning: Organise fire drills, training, and emergency responses.
  • System Administration: Manage and maintain fire management systems and databases.
  • Training Coordination: Organise and administer internal and external training programs.
  • TasGRN Support: Assist with equipment management, inventory, training, and incident support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in fire management would be an advantage.
  • High level administration experience is essential.
  • Experienced using office applications and software or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical, literacy and attention to detail skills.
  • Demonstrated time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
