We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team at Churches of Christ. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing in-home care to our clients, assisting them to maintain their independence and live in their chosen community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including showering, dressing, and continence care
- Assist clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, and other light housework
- Transport clients to appointments and undertake personal shopping
- Assist with medication and support in the development of a consumer-driven care plan
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication, HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support
- Current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates
