Job Description

Job Title: Middle School French Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Middle School French Teacher to join our dedicated team at Trinity College. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of middle schooling and the appropriate pedagogy to engage and achieve successful student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach French to middle school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with school goals and standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on best pedagogical approaches.
  • Contribute to the school's co-curricular program, promoting student engagement and well-being.
  • Support the Christian ethos of the College, actively contributing to the spiritual life of the community.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in teaching and French language education.
  • Registered to teach in South Australia or eligible to obtain registration.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity and a patient approach.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience with Visible Learning, Visible Wellbeing, and high-impact learning strategies.
  • Ability to implement these strategies in a classroom setting, promoting student engagement and academic success.
