About the Role

IPAR is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in the Sydney Metro area.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in Exercise Physiology to work in a diverse role managing their own day, providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
  • Completing assessments using clinical and discipline-specific skills, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments;
  • Delivering IPAR's innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and registration with ESSA and SIRA Accreditation;
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy to provide exceptional client care;
  • Well-developed time management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
