
Land Remediation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Land Management Professional to join our team. As an integral part of our contaminated land management department, you will be responsible for conducting environmental field works, collecting samples, and overseeing contractors.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in contaminated site management, including business development, proposal writing, and delivering exceptional client outcomes. They will also possess knowledge of soil contaminants, site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies, and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil, and gas.

- Conduct interesting environmental field works with varied considerations for safety and intricate geology/hydrogeology.
- Collect environmental samples of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air, and landfill gas.
- Interrogate large datasets, develop conceptual site models, and prepare detailed and concise field notes.
- Author technical assessments reports and recommendations.
- Oversee contractors and take responsibility for safe, compliant, and quality field works programs.
- Apply legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, and collaborate with the national team to execute initiatives locally.
You're likely to have 2-4 years of relevant experience and be enthusiastic, reliable, and great at building collaborative working relationships. Previous consulting experience is required, including business development, proposal writing, and delivering exceptional client outcomes and cost-effective solutions.
- Experience in managing small to medium contaminated-site projects.
- Knowledge of soil contaminants, site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies, and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil, and gas.
- Understanding of regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites.
- A current full driver's license.
- Tertiary education in earth sciences or environmental science/engineering.
- Project management skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to undertaking projects.
