Beverage Service Role

Job description: We are seeking a skilled Beverage Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, take orders, and serve beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, efficient, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking beverage orders and entering them into the point-of-sale system
  • Retrieving orders from the bartender or kitchen and serving them to guests
  • Computing bills, accepting payment, and making change for monies tendered
  • Abiding by all state, federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages
  • Removing empty or dirty glasses, bottles, and serviceware and returning them to the bar or kitchen area for proper cleaning
  • Replenishing beverages as requested and frequently checking back with guests to provide additional service

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification
  • Must have the ability to read and write English sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, take and record orders, and communicate with guests
  • Must have the ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items and special promotions
  • Must have cash-handling experience
  • Must have the ability to learn and operate the point-of-sale system
  • Must have the ability to transport trays of beverages through a crowded room on a continual basis throughout the shift
