This role will oversee the injury management function across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on early intervention strategies for injured employees to prevent the escalation of minor physical injuries.

The Role
  • Manage the workers compensation function across all jurisdictions (self-insured in South Australia, via insurers in other states and under a government scheme in New Zealand)
  • Implement effective processes to achieve early and effective return to work outcomes for injured workers
  • Communicate return-to-work restrictions effectively to site supervisors, ensuring human capital requirements can be managed by the business, including the injured worker
  • Manage internal dispute resolution processes and attend the South Australian Employment Tribunal
  • Oversee the early intervention program
About You
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in end-to-end claims management with a Self-Insurer under the South Australian Return to Work Act
  • Alternatively, at least 5 years' experience in end-to-end claims management with a Scheme Insurer
  • General knowledge of the application of Workers Compensation requirements in other jurisdictions
  • Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
  • Current driver's license and ability to undertake planned travel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines and maintain a high level of attention to detail
