Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer - Competitive Remuneration Package

Aurizon is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Keswick, Adelaide.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Asset Management of Railway Infrastructure, working closely with the Infrastructure Manager and other Engineers to prioritize infrastructure maintenance and renewals/replacements.

As an Engineer in the Infrastructure Team, you will spend approximately 25% of your time in the field, assessing the condition, defects, failure modes and requirements of the assets you manage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and plan the technical aspects of civil projects, including design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material and component specifications, safety in design requirements for new and altered works.
  2. Check and audit civil systems submitted by external providers.
  3. Prepare associated documentation, user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval, maintenance procedures for qualification systems.
  4. Evaluate civil designs produced to ensure they conform to business and industry best practice.
  5. Identify requirements for new processes and standards, contributing to the production and implementation of new standards, specifications and work practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in Civil Engineering, construction, maintenance and/or asset management, with the ability to apply your expertise practically in an operational environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
  • 3-5+ years' technical experience (Preferred).
