As a Principal Ecologist, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our ecological initiatives, guiding projects from inception to completion.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your technical expertise to mentor staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Lead field and office-based activities, with opportunities to travel across the nation as part of a truly national team.
  • Manage the delivery of field survey programs on logistically complex and remote sites.
  • Prepare high-quality deliverables and cultivate client relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth and success of our consultancy firm.
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing the growth strategy for the ecology workstream in NSW.

Your Ideal Background:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant ecological experience.
  • Degree qualified in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany or a related discipline.
  • Accreditation under the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing medium and large-scale ecological assessment and management projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in preparing and reviewing reports.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies.
