Job Title: Senior Data and Intelligence Analyst

The role of the Senior Data and Intelligence Analyst is critical to the success of our data assets and data products roadmap. We are seeking a highly skilled professional who can collaborate with business and technical users to author high quality business and technical requirements.

The Senior Data and Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing a traceability framework linking project deliverables to agreed business outcomes via clear business and technical requirements. They will also elicit and document business and technical requirements to support our Agency's Data & Analytics transformation program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a traceability framework linking project deliverables to agreed business outcomes via clear business and technical requirements.
  • Elicit and document business and technical requirements to support the Agency's Data & Analytics transformation program.
  • Analyse and document business processes and data flows to provide current and future state context for requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, meetings and working groups to develop requirements.
  • Review and provide feedback on design documents to ensure alignment with business outcomes and requirements.
  • Contribute to designs and implementations of solutions that meet business and technical outcomes.
  • Lead hands-on requirement development and stakeholder validation in a large-scale data and analytics transformation program.
  • Experience implementing Data and/or Analytics products and services and related data architecture (e.g., data models, ETL, data governance, security).
  • Document data and process flows to provide context for requirements.
  • Gather, analyse and translate data into meaningful insights.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with JIRA and Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Practical Agile, Hybrid and/or Waterfall delivery experience.
  • Experience working with diverse project, in-house development, and vendor teams to deploy complex technologies and drive change.
  • Experience as a scrum master.
  • Experience with SAS Viya 4 platform.
  • Hands-on data analysis skills in data interrogation, source-to-target data mapping and data lineage (e.g., SQL, Python).
