Whizdom Recruitment is seeking an experienced NV2 cleared candidate with a strong background in project assurance and capability analysis to join our team in Canberra, ACT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of program activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Assess and refine assurance processes for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Analyse program risks and provide insights for strategic decision-making, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Manage Program Annual and MYBR processes, streamlining operational efficiency and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Engage with mission and delivery teams to prioritise analysis, allocating resources effectively and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Apply prioritisation decisions into budget, planning and delivery processes, ensuring seamless integration and efficient execution.
  • Work with mission areas to identify capability gaps, driving development and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of decisions with overall organisational strategy, maintaining cohesion and focus.

  • Proven experience in complex program management and assurance, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in capability development and experience in capability life-cycle planning and management, with a deep understanding of organisational requirements.
  • Ability to align decisions with organisational goals and contribute to future-focused planning, driving business success and growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Location and Contract Terms

This role is based in Canberra, ACT, offering a unique blend of urban living and natural beauty.

The contract terms include a 12-month commitment, with the option to extend for an additional 12 months subject to departmental availability and budget constraints.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be Australian citizens, holding a Negative Vetting 2 clearance. ASD will not sponsor candidates to upgrade their clearance, and pre-employment checks may be required, including ID verification, security clearance validation, and other relevant assessments.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
