We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Health and Resilience Project Officer to join our team at Northern Grampians Shire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the planning and development of strategies to support the delivery of our Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level strategic planning, policy, research, and strategy advice to inform the development and implementation of our MPHWP.
- Develop and maintain a partnership framework for the ongoing development and delivery of our MPHWP.
- Engage with community and other stakeholders through workshop facilitation and other processes as appropriate.
- Develop specific policies, strategies, and plans to increase the health and well-being of our community.
- Deliver the VicHealth partnership program 'Ready for Life: Early Years to Youth in Northern Grampians Shire'.
- Develop specific strategies and actions focused on building resilience in children and young people, and promotion of youth representation in community planning.
- Co-design the delivery of initiatives and programs that build local capacity.
- Collate necessary documentation, information, and support management in report preparation, including budget, progress, and acquittal reporting.
- Degree or Diploma qualified in Community Development, Public Health, Health Promotion, or Social Science with experience, or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in the preparation of research, project planning and delivery, partnership development and management, and community engagement.
- Experience working in local government or community health roles.
- Strong administrative skills including previous experience in the preparation of reports, program proposals, grants, and acquittals.
