About the Role

As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing all naval architecture and structural discipline related activities. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and deliver engineering changes for minor vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and engineering change process for minor vessels
  • Conduct structural and naval architecture activities, including requirements development, engineering design, and verification and validation
  • Develop and review engineering documentation, such as structural calculations, docking calculations, and stability calculations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier, and senior leadership levels
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in naval architecture and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, including involvement in system engineering practices and experience using CAD and finite element analysis programs
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, produce clear reports, and maintain high-quality standards
