Job Description

As a Home Care Worker, you will provide personal care services to clients in their own homes, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

You will also provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients, following dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role, preferably in a home care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
