Renewable Energy Project Coordinator

This role supports the delivery of a nationally significant renewable energy project focused on large-scale storage and dispatchable power for the Australian National Electricity Market.

  • We are seeking an experienced coordinator to manage the planning and coordination of electrical and mechanical installation activities across the site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed site baseline schedule in Primavera P6 for all field installation activities, applying resource and cost loading to support cost-to-complete forecasting, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align deliverables with project milestones.

About This Role:

  1. Maintain real-time updates of the site schedule, ensuring alignment with the overall master schedule and client programme.
  2. Monitor progress against plan and track interface milestones (civil works, logistics, subcontractors).
  3. Validate subcontractor progress reports and integrate updates into the schedule.
  4. Highlight and manage critical path risks; monitor float and buffer consumption.
  5. Propose mitigations, recovery strategies, and acceleration measures where required.
  6. Support daily and weekly look-ahead planning with the delivery and field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Project Management certification or postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, PMP) are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years' experience in construction scheduling and planning, with at least 5 years in a lead capacity.
  • Strong background in large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, with experience using Power BI; SAP familiarity is a bonus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning, and interface coordination.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and performance on complex project sites.
