About this Senior Asbestos Analyst Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned asbestos professional to lead complex analyses and develop staff skills.

This position offers a unique opportunity to step into a senior role with a strong focus on technical excellence, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

You will play a pivotal part in conducting and reviewing intricate asbestos identification and fibre counting, administering training programs, and driving method development and compliance in line with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and review advanced asbestos identification in soil and bulk materials using PLM technology
  • Conduct and oversee fibre counting using PCM methods, ensuring precision and accuracy
  • Approve and finalise analytical results and client reports
  • Provide expert technical guidance and advice to clients
  • Lead internal and external training programs for junior analysts and clients
  • Administer and contribute to proficiency testing programs
  • Drive method development and improvements in asbestos analysis
  • Conduct internal audits and liaise with external auditors to maintain accreditation compliance
  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff members
  • Maintain strict adherence to WHS, NATA, and ISO standards

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asbestos analysis and fibre counting
  • Advanced expertise in PLM and PCM technologies
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and regulations
  • Experience in training and mentoring junior analysts
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • The ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
