A highly sought-after opportunity has arisen in a dynamic Statutory Planning team at a municipality located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
About the RoleThis contract position, available until September 2025, offers the ideal candidate the chance to leverage their expertise in assessing combined planning and subdivision applications, greenfield subdivisions, project management of major projects, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate complex subdivision applications and provide expert advice on compliance with relevant regulations
- Develop and implement strategies for effective project management and stakeholder engagement
- Mentor and support junior staff members in their professional development
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related field
- Circa 4 plus years of experience in assessing subdivision applications within a Local Government or consultancy environment in Victoria
- Demonstrated expertise in handling S173 agreements and solid knowledge of the Subdivisions Act and Victorian Planning Scheme
- An unwavering commitment to providing outstanding customer service and exceptional communication skills
